From the Pastor’s Desk

By Fr. Terry Kerner

You will notice that at Mass this weekend we have our hymnals available, holy water fonts filled, and a general relaxing of protocols per the direction of the Governor, CDC and the Archdiocese* The gathering space in the parish hall is the designated area where social distancing can be observed. Of course, folks are encouraged to be vaccinated though it remains a personal decision by every person to do so. The parish neither has the authority nor the responsibility to enforce any person’s compliance. Common sense and Christian charity should dictate our choices.

The Red Cross will be holding a Blood Drive next Sunday, June 6th from 8 am — 2 pm. Sadly the pandemic restricted drives for the past year and depleted supplies. You can help on D-Day by simply showing up at the parish hall to offer your life-giving contribution.

Please mark your calendar for the first parish social in over a year! On Father’s Day, June 20th from 10 am – 1 pm we will offer a Pancake Breakfast. Come hungry and ready to spend some time with your fellow parishioners.

Sincere thanks to all who have contributed to the CSA thus far. As of this writing (May 25th ) and only into the second week of the drive, we have reached 41% of our target. That is excellent and a credit to your generosity and responsible stewardship. THANK YOU for all that you are doing.

Memorial Day Mass will be celebrated at 9:00 am. All are welcome and all our deceased heroes will be remembered. Let’s gather to pay honor to them.
