A very Blessed and Happy Easter to you and your families!
We will be closed during the Easter weekend and will reopen the weekend of April 23rd before and after Masses. April 24th is Divine Mercy Sunday. The shop carries Divine Mercy books, novenas, chaplets and CDs. Thank you for your ongoing support. Remember that proceeds from all sales go to our own parish and to the Red Cloud Indian School in South Dakota.

“Dear Friends at St.Kateri Tekakwitha Catholic Church,
We are very grateful for your gift of $120.00 to Red Cloud. These are challenging times and you are providing hope for the children and their families. Following a few weeks of distance learning, with safely measures enforced, the children are back learning with their classmates and playing with their friends. The winter cold has not dampened their enthusiasm (and we are grateful that with your help the classrooms are warm and
inviting). The seniors are looking to the future as they apply to college and
make their plans. In the elementary school, a reading challenge is taking
place. With the points earned, they are able to “shop” for books and enjoy a
cup of hot chocolate!

Across the campus, the children are surrounded by the symbols of their rich past. Red Cloud students in all grades are learning the history and cultural traditions to help them develop into the confident, competent, and committed Lakhota leaders of tomorrow. We know there are many challenges, and I am grateful that we can depend on you for help as part of our Thiyóšpaye-our extended family. Be sure to visit our website to see more of what you are making possible at www.redcloudschool.org. Thank you again!”
With heartfelt gratitude and prayers,
Father Peter J Klink, S.J. President Emeritus

Did you know that our very affordable greeting cards are designed and printed at the Conception Abbey in Missouri? The Printery House at the Abbey is an apostolic work of the Benedictine monks who reside there. The mission of the monks is to proclaim the Gospel and share the Christian faith through the creation and distribution of printed products and contemporary religious art. You are helping to support the monks and their mission when you purchase the cards. Speaking of greeting cards, we carry
cards for the upcoming St. Patrick’s and St. Joseph’s Days. We have also put out the Easter, First Communion, Confirmation and RCIA cards. If you need a card that is not on display, ask us. Since our space is limited, we may have what you want in storage. Thank you for your support!

All relationships need to stay fresh & mutually life giving. Older married couples or life long friends sometimes need to change up their routines or ways of communicating to renew and deepen their love and appreciation for each other. It is the same for our relationships with God. Are we just thoughtlessly repeating the same prayers and devotions? Our minds tend to wander when our prayers become so rote. God is probably more pleased with a few heartfelt and thought out words than hours of mindlessly recited
prayers. During this Lenten season, it may be helpful to practice a different
devotion, pray more thoughtfully or read a newer spiritual book. God will be pleased with your efforts and your relationship will grow. Our Parish Gift Shop offers a variety of devotional items and spiritual books to assist you on this journey. We are here to help. Have a blessed Lent!

St Kateri Parish houses one of the only Catholic Gift and Book shops in the area. Our volunteers view it as a ministry where we can provide sacramental items, statues, books, prayer cards, and other religious items that help us to grow in our relationship with God. Since St. Kateri was designated our patron, we also carry Native American handcrafted items to honor her heritage.

You are welcome to come in and browse before and after our weekend Masses. We post special hours during the holiday seasons. If you have questions or are interested in a special order, feel free to contact Barb Cataldo (313-402-6890) or Pat Urban (313-359-0461).

Proceeds from sales go to our Parish and Native American charities. Thank you for your support!
