With only a short time left as your pastor I continue to be impressed with the faith and generosity of this parish. Last weekend’s celebrations were so humbling and meaningful for me. Seeing so many parishioners and friends from the past invited back for me countless memories of my fifty -four years of priesthood and most notably my twenty years as your pastor.

I want to take this time to sincerely thank the staff for all their energy and efforts preparing and hosting the special celebrations. Our parish staff keep the church and campus so cle6n and beautiful and the pastor always happy! May we also never fail to appreciate and thank all who volunteer their time and efforts in so many significant ways at our parish home.

All your gifts and well-wishes also are truly appreciated. Please note that with all my efforts moving to the Senior Priest Village, will slow down my written appreciation for your kindness. I haven’t far to go. I will be joining other retired priests at Madonna University in Livonia. Busy days moving out and moving in will not prevent me from holding all of you in my prayer. Please keep me in yours.

Our new pastor has been named and is looking forward to sharing his role as pastor at both St. Kateri and Sacred Heart parishes. Fr. Craig Giera, currently the Director for Priestly Vocations for the Archdiocese, will begin as your shepherd on July 1st. Please support Father with your prayers.
