From the Pastor’s Desk by Fr. Terry Kerner,
The last few weeks have found me recuperating from a stay in the hospital fighting double pneumonia. I won the fight but it has left me pretty weak and tired. The Doctors have encouraged me to slow down a little which I find hard to do. Nonetheless I have been giving it my best effort to do so. I want to thank all of you for your Easter greetings and get well cards that have been arriving daily at the rectory. I truly do appreciate the supportive prayers you have been offering. Please keep them up! I also have to thank all my fellow priests who have been covering the Masses. They, with Deacon Tom and the entire St. Kateri staff have reminded me of just how blessed we are as a parish. My heartfelt thanks to all of them and you for the support.
I hope to be getting back into parish life soon. There are so many positive events coming up. I especially want to acknowledge the success of our newly redesigned Family Faith Formation program that meets on Mondays. The program is a three parish effort and is both a combination of students’ and parents’ religious education and formation. Our final gathering will be on May eighth with a closing Mass that will honor all our First Communicants and Confirmation Candidates from the three participating parishes. We congratulate them all!
My responsibilities besides St. Kateri, includes the Administrator of St. Alphonsus-St. Clement parish as well as being the Moderator for our Family of Parishes. None of this would be possible without the help and dedication of many talented people. I look forward to getting back to work and being able to just sit back and WATCH THEM do all the work!
Enjoy the coming month of May.
