Last Sunday St. Kateri hosted the Commissioning Mass of Priests for our Family of Parishes. Bishop Battersby officiated at the historic Mass which named our cluster of parishes the “Rouge Family of Parishes”. Joining with the pastors were our own Deacon Tom Leonard and 104 year old Deacon Larry Girard of St. Maria Goretti. With the Bishop, the priests and deacons together we represented two centuries of Holy Orders. The ceremony was celebrated with parishioners from all four of our parishes in attendance. Thank you to all our St. Kateri staff, the K of C and all the participants from our neighboring parishes. Check out the rest of today’s bulletin for more on the story!
Please be aware that this coming Thursday, December eighth is the Feast of the Immaculate Conception. To celebrate the Holyday Masses will be at Noon and 5:30 pm. The Bishop mentioned in his homily last Sunday how Advent always goes by so quickly and before we know it Christmas is upon us. Let us try to enjoy this season of anticipation less feverishly and devote some time to prayer and thought as to what and Whom we are preparing to celebrate!
