From the Pastor’s Desk
By Fr. Terry Kerner
Christmas is just around the corner and like every year we wonder how the Christmas Season got here so fast! And like every year we have our list of things we think we have to do to make the Holidays special. With all that we have been through over the last couple of years it might be “OK” to sit back and be a little easier on ourselves this year. Take the time to get to Mass and enjoy the music, the decorations, and hopefully the homily. Take the time to get in touch with folks maybe you haven’t talked to in a while. Take time to do something for others and realize the joy that it can bring you.
Next weekend will be busy around St. Kateri. On Saturday, the 18th at llAM we will celebrate a communal penance service. Three priests will be available to help you know God’s pardon and mercy.
Later that day after the 4pm Mass a visiting priest will offer Mass in French for his family and friends. Mass will start around 5pm and is open to any parishioner. Also, between Noon and 5pm you can pick up your pre-ordered Capuchin bake goods in the St. Francis Room (parish hall). Next weekend is also the opportunity to honor with a poinsettia our seniors who are in their nineties. This is our second year for the “Ninety & Nice” program, and you are invited to be a part of it.
And of course, the following weekend we will celebrate Christmas and the Feast of the Holy Family. Please keep handy the Liturgy schedule to help keep you on track for Mass!
