Thank you for your generous support in last week’s Peter’s Pence Collection! Our contributions, combined with those from our brothers and sisters around the world, provide essential support for the Holy See’s ac-tivities and help Pope Francis relieve the victims of wars, oppression, and natural disaster around the world. If you missed the collection, it is not too late to give. Visit www.usccb.org/nationalcollections.

Today, June 27th is the Peter’s Pence Collection, a worldwide collection that supports the activities of the Holy See through which Pope Francis governs the Church and exercises his charitable works. When used for charitable outreach, funds from this collection help those most in need. Take this opportunity to join with Pope Francis and be a sign of mercy. Please be generous today. For more information, visithttp://www.peterspence.va/en.html.

The Peter’s Pence Collection occurs yearly on the Sunday (June 26-27) closest to the Solemnity of Saints Peter and Paul, as a sign that Catholics around the world are joined together in support of the Holy Father.

[Jesus] journeyed from one town and village to another, preaching and proclaiming the good news of the kingdom of God. Accompanying him were the Twelve…and many others who provided for them out of their resources. —Lk 8:1, 3

Give generously to this collection as a sign of mercy to those who suffer around the globe and in support of the ongoing work of the Holy See. By doing so, you help build up the Church so that it will continue to minister to all for generations to come.

The Peter’s Pence Collection, which unites us and Catholics around the world more closely with the Holy Father in two ways: it supports the structures of the Holy See through which the Pope governs the Church as well as his charitable efforts to assist victims of war, oppression, natural disasters, and others most in need. Please be generous. For more information, visit http://www.peterspence.va/en.html.
